I was invited to be a special guest for Canadian School Gathering 2026 (wow, it is their 90th gathering event)… I will talk about the role of poetry in Chinese Culture… thanks for the invitation from Canadian School Alumni Association.
I wrote this short poem to begin my speech:
The Role of Poetry
as blossoms spreading through seasons,
as wings across rivers and fields,
as wine brewed from time and rice,
as light breaking the dawn with hope.
I gaze with open eyes,
I breathe in its melody,
I ask with a sincere heart,
I share with deep gratitude.
