Our Chinese and Canadian Poets Reading event went very well on June 20 at Riverdalve Library. (There were more than 30 poets reading and two wonderful musicians performing)
We want to thank you all for joining us. We also want to thank media for their interviewing and reporting. (Here are reports from MingPao, CCNEWS, and more…)
Special thanks to Sunshine for her wonderful music & Shi Ying for his great photos.
Thanks CPAC, Toronto Public Library and the League of Canadian Poets for their sponsor.
I am very happy that I will be serving as First Poet Laureate of Mississauga. This morning I presented my first reading at city council meeting. It is my honour to be selected for the post. I am looking forward to working with all of you to promote poetry and present the spirits of Mississauga. Thanks a lot.
Thanks the City of Mississauga’s Culture Division introducing the city’s first poet laureate. Glad that our city council welcomed this wonderful idea and now Mississauga has added Poet Laureate to its map!
This report from Mississauga News explains very well what the function is like. I hope to work with many local poets, writers, artists and youth to achieve this. Thanks.
